Off to London!

I'm off to London today to finish setting up our show for New Designers! Its open to the public from 29th June - 2nd July for Part 1 and the Part 2 is 6th July - 9Th July. There's more information about New Designers on the website. Hope it all goes well... I'm away until July 2nd, but after that I will post lots of lovely photos from the show!

Tea Towels

I thought I'd try printing onto tea towels, so I ordered 30 of them to try out....They're working ok..I think.. I'm using the floral pattern which I developed from the flowery patterns on vintage crockery. I normally use this for the linings of the hand bags and zip purses.
I just thought, everyone always wants to buy tea towels so why not make a few and see how it goes.. So I'll make a few and load them onto my shop and wait and see... :)

 

Messy Studio

I still haven't managed to sort out my little studio yet but I've taken some photos anyway...maybe I can do a before and after post! If I ever get round to it...
So it's a complete tip but I've started printing again which is nice :) I thought I'd make a start on a few bags which are shown in progress in the photos.

New Designers

From the 28th June til the 2nd of July I will be in London for the New Designers show! A group of people from my course have been given the opportunity to show our work at this amazing show. I think it opens to the public from the 30th or the 31st... Hopefully this will be a chance to talk to potential stockists and customers!
In the meantime I am attempting to organise my studio so its actually possible to walk around without clambering over piles of scrap fabric and cardboard boxes...Its taking a while! Once thats all sorted I can get on with more printing and sewing and product making! Yay!

New purses

I've taken photos of 14 new purses ready to go onto my Etsy shop. Here's a sneak peek at the purses which will be added over the next week...

Sewing Machine

As a graduation pressie my grandparents treated me to a lovely new sewing machine! Its a Lada T132, I think its from the 1950's. Its so pretty and sews really nicely, and quietly! Which is just wonderful compared to my old sewing machine which was the noisiest thing ever...

New shop banner

I decided my shop banner on Etsy deserved a make-over, it was looking a bit dull and boring. Here is the new and improved banner!

 

I think it looks much more inviting and interesting than the old one, hopefully it will attract more customers....hopefully...

Cushions

I've added 2 of my new cushions onto my shop :) I've listed them as just the cover but with the option to buy a cushion inner too.
