Seconds & Old Stock Sale!

In case you're not over on Facebook or Twitter, here is the info about my seconds and old stock sale!

On Wednesday the 12th March I'll be having a little sale. I've got lots of old stock and seconds taking up space in my studio, so they'll be on sale at bargain prices!

The sale starts at 7pm over on my Facebook Page.

Events Coming Up

I'm really looking forward to some great events I'll be taking part in through November and December. I'm not doing many as we've just opened Bird In Borrowed Feathers so I'm going to be busy with that!

From the 20th Nov - 24th Dec I'll be showcasing my work with Handmade Nottingham at the Nottingham Christmas Market, we've got a little chalet where we'll be selling work from 10 fantastic local designers.

The next event is the Pretty Dandy Flea For Christmas, this is being held at the Vintage Warehouse again which is such a great venue. I'll also be having a stall for Bird In Borrowed Feathers too!

The final event of the year is the Nottingham Contemporary's Craft.Design.Contemporary, this is always a lovely event, with so many amazing designers taking part!

New Shoes

I got these converse style shoes the other week, at a bargain price of £3!

They look worn out already as they are my new faves, I'm wearing them everywhere...

Painting

I've not really done much painting before, it's always something I'd love to be able to do although I've never been happy with the results.

I bought myself a little set of acrylics and mini canvases a while ago, so this week I thought I'd have a go. 

I surprised myself and really enjoyed doing these little painting, so I may do some more soon!!

New Stuff!

I've been working on some new products recently! It's a little collection of necklaces and possibly brooches too.

Here are some of the samples I've made so far! The illustrations are transferred onto the wood with decal paper, then varnished a couple of times for protection. I've then strung them onto black, waxed cotton cord with antique gold rings and clasps.

I just need to decide which designs work best and get some finished and photographed!

 When I take photos of my tote bags, I like to pick outfits which compliment the colours and style of the bags. 

This one is my favourite, although it's a bit short, but I'd normally wear it with leggings and then it seems ok...

Vintage Cotton Reels

While testing out my new camera and taking photos of my greetings cards, I took a snap of these lovely vintage cotton reels I found in a drawer.

I'd love to have a little collection and display them on a shelf somewhere.

New Camera

 Last week I got a new camera, and look it does the fuzzy background thing I've always wanted! 

We tried the camera out during the week, I look a bit silly but never mind.
